Baits Hot
If you want to catch big catfish, live or cut bait is the way forward. But if you just want a meal-sized channel cats, then you might want try to make your own bait. Mass commercial bait available, but it's more fun to do yours.
Most ingredients involving, for example, a bouquet of flowers delivered. Catfish have an incredible sense of smell and are attracted to anything that feels safe. Here are some recipes for you started.
Catfish Melange
Melt 1 pound of Velveeta cheese for 1 min. in the microwave. Then cut 6.8 oz of raw chicken livers. Add in cheese. Then add a healthy tablespoon of garlic powder or minced garlic. Then mix 1 can of dog food or cat, and add 1 dozen small fish and flour enough to give a pasty consistency. Mix in a food processor.
This bait works better in the treble hooks or tube bait.
Cajun Bait
In a blender, combine about 1 kilo of minced fish (minnows great job rotten). Add 1 / 3 cup water 1 / 2 cup Parmesan cheese, 1 box Cherry-O gelatin, 1 / 4 cup molasses, 3 movement onion salt and garlic salt, 1 cup bread crumbs, and.3 tablespoons soy sauce.
Remove the mixture into a bowl. Add flour to thicken then work into the dough by hand. To use simply pinching a small piece, roll into a ball and place on a hook Treble # 4.
Old Man Liver
In a blender place a pound of chicken livers, half a box of cornflakes, 1 / 2 cup garlic powder 1 / 3 cup each: parmesan cheese molasses sugar. Blend well place in small dishes and freeze what is not to be used as bait spoil very quickly. Best if eaten fresh. Add flour to thicken if necessary.
Some Other things you can do is cut a package of sausages at age 3 / 4 "crack. Then a bottle of fish oil in a shop East (Mackerel works best) and fill a glass jar with him. Place the pieces of whistling in the oil, tightly sealed jar, and soak at least overnight in the refrigerator. To use, simply place a piece on a hook and cast it and taste / odor.
